Number plate supplies for Birmingham
West Midlands · England
Birmingham is the B memory tag. For any workshop across the West Midlands conurbation — Solihull, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley — B is the character that runs down first, with D from Deeside and Shrewsbury close behind on cars from further west.
Registration letters issued here
B (Birmingham), with D and V arriving from the west and Severn Valley
The B tag covers the whole conurbation rather than the city alone, so demand for B characters in this area is disproportionate to population.
The West Midlands has a large independent bodyshop and dealer-prep trade, which tends to buy characters in depth rather than per job.
Birmingham workshops often serve both mainstream replacement work and show plate work, so 3mm and 5mm acrylic both sell here.
How ordering works from Birmingham
- Posted, not collected. We have no branch, counter or collection point in Birmingham or anywhere else — everything travels by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
- Same-day dispatch. Orders placed before our daily cut-off leave the same working day.
- Delivery priced by weight. Characters are 30g each and plate blanks 300g, so the rate is calculated from the parcel, not your postcode.
- Components only. We supply characters and blanks. We do not make or sell finished registration plates.
Questions from Birmingham customers
- Is B the only tag Birmingham plates use?
- B is the local memory tag, but the random final three letters mean the full alphabet still gets used on Birmingham-issued plates.
- Do you have a Birmingham trade counter?
- No. We supply by post only — there is no counter, showroom or local collection.
