Number plate supplies in Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland uses a different registration system entirely — three letters including an I or a Z, then up to four digits — so character demand there looks nothing like the rest of the UK.
Northern Irish marks are not age-coded. They use a district letter pairing that always includes I or Z, which is why those two letters matter in Northern Ireland and barely register on the mainland.
Because the digit block runs up to four characters, digit demand is spread much more evenly than under the GB age-identifier system.
We supply Northern Irish addresses on the same characters and blanks; delivery runs through Royal Mail's Tracked 24 network.
