Individual letter
Number Plate Letter O
Oxford tags — and never a substitute for zero.
O opens the Oxford memory tags. It is also the character most often ordered by mistake: on a photograph an O and a 0 are almost indistinguishable, but they are different items with different codes, and we supply exactly what is ordered rather than swapping one for the other.

Where the O appears on UK plates
- Area codes beginning with O were issued through Oxford.
- O appears in the random three letters, but never in the two-digit age identifier — that position is always numeric.
Ordering and fitting the O
- If the character sits in the age-identifier position, it is a zero, not an O.
- Store O and 0 separately and scan the barcode when picking.
Questions about the O
- Will you swap an O for a 0 if I order the wrong one?
- We supply the character ordered. Get in touch as soon as you spot it and we will sort the order out before dispatch where we can.
- How do I tell them apart in the box?
- Every item carries its own code and barcode — scanning is faster and safer than eyeballing the shape.
